Okinawa Outdoors Magazine
Okinawa Outdoors Magazine was the largest single magazine that Marine Corps Community Services produced at 100+ pages. This publication is an annual magazine that provides servicemembers and their families stationed on Okinawa information on things that they can do outside. The circulation on this publication is 20,000.
Duties & Responsibilities
Four consecutive years I served as the Art Director for Okinawa Outdoors Magazine. I worked closely with one main Managing Editor, several Writers, and a Photographer in order to meet production deadlines.
As the Publication Art Director the following is a list of my direct responsibilities working on this publication:
- Worked closely with Managing Editor to establish deadlines, develop content, manage resources, and organize photo shoots.
- Served as contributing Photographer.
- Develop a look for the publication.
- Work closely with Photographer to ensure photos were consistent with the visual theme of the publication.
